Maxine Waters LIED to get Social Security Card.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) admitted Tuesday on “The Real” that she lied about her age to obtain a Social Security card while working at an “all-white” restaurant in St. Louis.
“There was this restaurant called Thompson’s Restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri. Of course we were all looking for jobs during the summer–we put our ages up, you know,” Waters said. “I was about 14 years old and I lied, said I was 16 so I could get a social security card.” Had the company found out about this, it would probably have been a swift call to the nearest Social Security offices in Idaho or, in this case, Missouri, and they would have taken over the situation. Ms. Walters was very lucky this was not the outcome.
The California Democrat appeared to admit that she committed fraud to obtain the Social Security card. Since Ms. Water applied for her SSC, the process has changed and has become much more rigorous to prevent situations like these happening again. Now, to apply for social security card, you have to provide a lot of documentation to prove that you are who you say you are and you are of age.
