Iranian Full Support for Palestinian Islamic Jihad Plan against Israel
Iranian Full Support – Speaking at a meeting with Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Resistance Movement Ramadan Abdullah in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei voiced pleasure in the plan, saying that “emphasis on struggle, full rejection of reconciliation treaties, insistence on the unity of the Palestinian groups and condemning the efforts made by certain reactionary states for compromise with the enemy are among the outstanding contents of the plan”.
Yet, he stressed that the plan should go into force as soon as possible, cautioning that some actors might move to impede its implementation; “hence, care must be taken not to leave this plan on paper to be forgotten after initial and tactical admirations”.
The leader further described the United States as “the Great Satan” and the root cause of all problems in the region, and said Washington and its small regional allies have stirred the ongoing crises in the region in a move to derail attention of the world public opinion from the Palestinian issue.
“Although it has been engaged in a number of regional issues, the Islamic Republic has always stated in a straightforward manner that Palestine is the top priority of the Muslim world, and it would take action to fulfill its duty in this regard,” the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed.
He further warned that the US and its regional allies have long been seeking hard to give a sectarian aspect to the regional problems, “Yet, despite all this propaganda, the Sunni people of Aleppo, Mosul and other cities have been and are massacred by the Takfiris; thus, these crises are no way related to being a Shiite or Sunni.”
Ayatollah Khamenei also laid emphasis on the importance of the young combination of the Palestinian population, and said Palestinians should display that they are a lively population in the West Bank.
“As stated earlier, the Zionist regime will no more exist in 25 years from now in case the Palestinians and Muslims grow united and launch collective campaign against the Zionists,” he reiterated.
Ramadan Abdullah, for his part, lamented the disloyalty of a number of Arab states to the Palestinian issue, saying, “Some Arab governments have unfortunately given up the Palestinian issue and are competing with each other to ally with the Zionist regime.”
He also voiced regret and concern over the several-year-long siege of over two million Palestinians in the Gaza Strip that has deprived them of their most basic needs, and said the Islamic Jihad’s recently released 10-article plan that has received wide admiration of intellectuals and thinkers in the Arab world believes that resistance in Gaza and support for the Intifada in the West Bank are the only recipe to victory and the self-rule government should also declare the Oslo Accord (with Israel) null and void.”
