Christopher Steele, former MI6 agent who compiled a dossier to discredit Donald Trump

Christopher Steele, 52, is said to have been the former MI6 agent who compiled a dossier on Donald Trump to discredit the incoming US President.

Steele, was posted to Moscow aged 26 in 1990, just months after marrying first wife Laura following a whirlwind romance. Laura complained that the feared Soviet secret police monitored them – and that at one stage a Russian aimed its gun directly at their apartment.

His late wife Laura, mother of his three children moved with him to Moscow in 1990. She died in 2009 from cirrhosis of the liver.

Steele now works as an intelligence consultant, who worked with FBI to bring down FIFA.

Steele, who produced Donald Trump Russian dossier, ‘terrified for his safety’ and has gone to ground as his collusion is reported on.

Mr Steele, the co-founder of London-based Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd, prepared a 35-page document that alleges the Kremlin colluded with Mr Trump’s presidential campaign and that the Russian security services have material that could be used to blackmail him, including an allegation that he paid prostitutes to defile a bed that had been slept in by Barack and Michelle Obama.

His research was initially funded by anti-Trump Republicans, and later by Democrats.

Who commissioned a former British spy to draw up the ‘dirty dossier’ on Donald Trump is yet to be identified – but fingers have been pointed to Jeb Bush as the initial requestor via a Washington research firm working for a so-called superPAC – a political action committee – had commissioned the report during the Republican primaries. Followed by Trump’s enemies in both the Republican and Democrat parties once Jeb stepped out of the race.

The document took a circuitous route from first being commissioned to finally being made public this week – going through countless hands before it emerged online.

John McCain has admitted to handing the document over to the FBI after sending a courier to London to collect it from Steele.

Amusingly, this entire story started via 4Chan an anonymous sharing forum on the internet. This Fake News has outed the dark and deep links between leading politicians (Democrats and Republicans) and news organizations CNN and Buzzfeed.
