    Nice…I choked up. I feel same way. It hit home. Bombed in Lebanon and can’t hear so good. No benefits. No money. No thanks from anyone. Crap system. No food or drink. But I have pride in my heart.
    Update: Friend me to help me with positive thoughts. Thanks so much for all your replies. I love this country. You are wonderful people. Look forward to a friend request? I found this poem from my mother who passed. Enjoy it.
    Semper Fi to all Vets. My Mother wrote this poem. I never knew she cared so much. She passed in 2013 and i just now found this among her things. For the Vets and Patriots, it goes like this:

    “A Prayer For Forgiveness”
    I found an old flag in the attic;
    It was wrinkled and covered with dust;
    As i held it up high to the sunshine;
    I cringed with shame and disgust;
    With shame, that the flag had just lain there;
    because no one had bothered to care-
    With disgust that i now only need it,
    Because Billy and Mike are there..
    Billy and Mike are my two sons,
    gone off to join the Marines.
    Away from their home-in the service,
    and willing to give up their dreams.
    To give their lives, if need be;
    should an enemy dare to attack-
    Are we ready to “Pray” them through it?,
    and welcome our heroes back?
    Why did i fail to cherish,
    the symbol of freedom for all?
    Why did my heart not grieve,
    when Vietnam was allowed to fall?
    Lord, forgive my selfish ambitions,
    that kept me from noticing the pain,
    of all the Veterans in War time-
    that gave of their limbs and their name!
    God grant us new mercy to care,
    in peacetime as much as in war-
    To support our boys in the service,
    and to pray as never before!
