    UPDATE #15 4:34pm EST Air Canada are confirming that they do not have a record for any passenger by the name of Esteban Santiago and that they have not record of anyone checking a gun on one of their flights into Ft. Lauderdale.

    UPDATE #14 3:24pm EST Santiago, retrieved his handgun from checked baggage, loaded the weapon in the bathroom at airport and then re-entered baggage claim area. Santiago arrived on an Air Canada flight. At present we do not know the origin of the flight.

    UPDATE #13 3:24pm EST Second suspect arrested. We do not know if he is related to shooter.

    UPDATE #12 3:06pm EST Shooter: Esteban Santiago – Born in New Jersey – Was carrying Military ID.

    UPDATE #11: 2:41pm Airport is officially closed. Contact your carrier. Florida Senator Bill Nelson I.D.’s the shooter as Esteban Santiago (sp).

    UPDATE #10: Shooter had 3 Clips with at least 8 rounds per clip. Shooter laydown on the ground after running out of ammo and surrendered. Shooter was down by the time officers arrived. Officers were at the scene within a minute.

    UPDATE #9: Shooter used hand-gun, surrendered after discharging all his rounds.

    UPDATE #8: Second Shooter is suspected, police officers are locking down the area and telling everyone to take cover a 14:30 EST

    UPDATE #7: Shooting randomly, no shouting, Likelihood is Islamic Terror 98%

    UPDATE #6: At least 5 Dead; 9 injured, Shooting occurred in non-secure Baggage Claim area. Likelihood this is Islamic Terrorism 100% (unconfirmed).

    UPDATE #5: Suspect in custody. Miami Airport is stepping up their security in response.

    UPDATE #4: Terminal 2 in lockdown, effecting Delta and Air Canada.

    UPDATE #3: Situation is de-escalating. Terminal 2 in lockdown, Terminal 1 is operating normally with increased security.
